Will 2010 be the year of Kelly?

As the New Year begun I couldn’t help but wonder about Kelly Rowland and her career. As you should know by now she is set to release her first solo album since departing from Pimp Daddy Knowles and MWE. It can be argued that she should’ve left him years ago. Kelly, Michelle, nor anyone else who is signed to MWE obviously doesn’t get as much promo or attention as Beyonce. Even in the DC days we could tell that Beyonce was the center of attention. She was doing all the leads and getting majority credit for all the work. But why wasn’t Kelly getting any credit or as many lead parts as Bey when she is equally as talented if not more.
Kelly is now free to do what she wants and can be creative as she wants. She no longer has to worry about anyone holding her back for the interest of someone else. She hopefully no longer will have to worry about promotion. There is one problem though, Beyonce is rumored to be releasing an album later this year. If true will this be another attempt to hold Kelly back?

I totally agree… I do think that this will be the year for KELLY! I hope that BEY sit her ass down and let someone else have the spotlight for once. We have had enough of Bey selling sex and acting like a crazy lunatic (Sasha crazy)… DC was always about Bey and everybody knows that. Kelly, really needs to surround herself with the best stylist, producers, publicist and manager. Continue to train her vioce, take some dance lessons, make sure that her label promotes the hell out of her and just be herself…. which is classy, sassy and continue to act like a lady… BEY needs to sit her hoe ass down… If she really cared for Kelly she would sit out and let her grab her own success!

Beyonce can sell sex all she wants. Atleast unlike most of her music rivals she has the vocals and talent to back it up.

but the fact that bey will be releasing her album next year may cause her to hold back coz in the eyes of the public, kelly is known as another backup causing album sales to drain.

We will all have to wait and see. i agree that Kelly is as talented or even more talented than B. But look at the music industry closely, it is not talent that gets the media attention but some gimmicks, connections via secret society.

I honestly can’t say whether Kelly is going to be a huge success. She has talent, but I still don’t think she has what it takes to have a long and successful career. While its true to a certain extent, you cannot blame her past failures solely on Matthew and Bey. Hopefully now is her time to shine.
