Brandy & Beyonce to Duet?

Rumours are circulating that Beyonce and Brandy are set to duet…. is this true???? and would it work???? Maybe they are trying to stamp out rumours that Kelly dissed Brandy to Beyonce and vice versa…. This will be interesting to see how it develops. I dont think this is such a good idea… Brandy has lost it musically…sadly.

Brandy should never do duets. Remember “The Boy Is Mine”? I loved that song, but we all know that vocally, monica killed brandy on that song.
That said, I’m sure that bey-tacky would love to do a duet with brandy.
1) Brandy isn’t as big a star, so bey will get all the attention
2) Brandy can’t sing as well
Beyonce would never do a duet with someone of superior vocals. And if she did, she’d try to compete by screaming into the microphone (like she did when she sang with J-hud).

I used to love me some Brandy and still bump her discs from time to time but she fell off in a MAJOR way so I seriously doubt that this is true.

I disagree Brandy has lost it muscially, her latest album “Human” is awesome. The vocal runs and the lyrics throughout the album are beautiful and on point. I honestly hope they don’t do a duet in the future. People won’t appreciate it because they would act like it’s a competition rather than a collaborative effort. Also most Beyonce stans are so hung up on making Beyonce look superior in anything and everything she does,comments about a duet with them would be 10 times worse to make Brandy look bad and of course make Beyonce look better, just look at the post above me as an example. (10: 42). Pathetic.

I agree Brandy would sound better, if they allow her to out shine Bey in a song. But if they did a duet Brandy would get the chorus and a hook. And although it would be a duet, we would only remember Beyonce.

I have never cared for brandy. Her songs were catchy, but I never thought she had it vocally. But I prefer her to beyonce. Bey tries to prove she can sing by
1) screaming into the mic
2) yodeling
3) holding a note for a really long time
It’s all vocal theatrics. And it’s more about breath control than quality (anyone trained in breath control could do this stuff).
“Singers” like beyonce think that these vocal theatrics are impressive because Whitney and Mariah always do this stuff. What bey doesn’t understand is that Whitney and Mariah have amazing vocal quality, and the theatrics are just extra. The quality of bey’s voice, when she’s singing in mid-range, sans theatrics is not impressive.
At least brandy doesn’t do the theatrics.

What i said was obviously a fact. At this point in Beyonce’s career what purpose is there to collaborating with a fading artist like Brandy outside of making a charitable donation to her career?
Now look at why brandy would want this to happen, her career has been in a coma since the year 1999. Her last 3 projects have severely flopped. To get on a track with beyonce right now could possibly breathe new life into her dying career.
That is and has always been my point. The fact that you let your emotional ties to Brandy’s comatose career blind you from seeing something so simple is pathetic.

I’m too dman tired to haate this mornin. What can we say. As much as I dislike beyonce we all now Brandy could never sing. and still can’t. Then on top of that Beyonce has a hotter image than brandy. No one has anything to say about brandy. Beyonce cud learn a lesson from brandys demise. In the ninties who ever thoguht brandy would fail? Now Beyonce doesn’t have age on her side like brandy. U can front like u r young but you can’t fool the youth. Eg. Janet Jackson, she doesn’t know whats cool anymore, and in a few years (3 or 4) Beyonce won’t know either. And she will refuse to grow with her (real generation) she’s stil catering for teeny boppers and deluded yung women. Miss Tina Turner grew with her fanbase which is why she still has fans now. Beyonce shud try to do the same.

I dont know why people are saying Brandy is desperate for attention. If that was the case maybe she woulda had some features on her last album Human. Brandy is a better vocalist than Beyonce. Brandy and Beyonce both respect and love each other’s work. A duet with them would be nice.

They are both talented. Only thing is Brandy never compromised her Wholesome Image to sell records, She stayed true to the music and even tho it hurt her career and sales, it gained her respect in the music game among her peers.
I believe it would work because they are in my opinion the most Musically inclined R&B/POP singers of our generation, they both have a ear for music.

Oh please! Brandy deserves way more respect than what some of you are giving her saying she can’t sing and that she’s a fading star GTFOH!! ya’ll act like Brandy didn’t have endorsement deals with cover girl, candies, played the black version of cinderella alongside whitney houston, sold 26 million albums worldwide, and has had her own tv show which has been in syndication for the past 5 years on the same channel!! people love to bring up how she lied about being married but always overlook how beyonce stays lying and contradicting herself. Brandy has actually grown up with her fans so she makes music for grown people not pre teens she doesn’t care what song will sound nice on your ringtone. Sadly that is why she hasn’t been selling many records but that Human album is wonderful maybe some of ya’ll should expand your horizons because before there was beyonce there was Brandy so don’t try to dumb down her accomplishments just to make beyonce seem more accomplished which may be true but its not like Brandy is a one hit wonder like ya’ll are making it seem.
