A couple days ago, rapper Slim Thug took to Twitter via Formspring to give the reason why he and Letoya Luckett broke it off. Just in case you’re not familiar, Formspring is a questionnaire of sorts that allows people to randomly (and anonymously) ask you questions that they might not have the balls to ask you face to face. At least he’s honest. Gives a totally new meaning to Toya’s song, Not Anymore, huh?
The president of Brooklyn, Marty Markowitz, has declared Beyonce an official Brooklynite. The singer visited the borough Friday for the opening of the Beyonce Cosmetology Center at a residential substance abuse treatment home. The Phoenix House offers many vocational skills programs, but Beyonce felt not enough were geared toward women. The new program is a seven-month course in cosmetology for both men and women. Beyonce and mom Tina Knowles will donate $100,000 each year. Beyonce donated 4 million dollars to the center in December 2008.

Rowland delivered a rather enjoyable performance. She had full command of the stage and her vocals were on point (for the most part). As the hype continues to build for her new LP, I hope to see strong performances like this in her native US. Good stuff. Her album is due out later this year.
The video was originally supposed to premiere to day, March 8, 2010, but due to unknown reasons it has been pushed to thursday.
The highy anticipated video which is being considered a, “pop event” will premiere this Thursday on E! News at 11:30pm. It is rumored to be 10 minutes long.
I hope this video can live up to the anticipation its getting unlike “Video Phone” which was a piece of garbage.

“Chicago” star Michelle Williams and Lil Mo are among a host of singers who recently recorded a song for ‘Hope For Haiti’.

Also featuring Gospel recording star Tye Tribbett, American Idol alum Anwar Robinson and Krishnar Lewis, “Prayer Song” is set to become part of ‘Hope For Haiti’s’ relief efforts.
“Prayer Song’ follows the successful telethon “Hope For Haiti,” which aired shortly after the earthquake in January.

Beyonce was called out by producer Rob Fusari in Billboard Magazine.
I came up with the idea to build a track using the guitar riff from Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen.” I really wanted to play the riff from “Eye of the Tiger,” but I was flipping through my CDs in the studio and I couldn’t find it. But I saw the Stevie Nicks CD and I remembered that the riff was similar.
I figured I’d put the guitar loop on there temporarily, and later go into the studio with a guitar and replay it, because I’d learned, after sampling Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish” for Will Smith’s “Wild Wild West,” that I didn’t want to lose 50% of the publishing. I vividly remember telling Mathew Knowles, “Mathew, you got to book me into your studio and let me replay that riff.” It was Guitar 101! One note!
He didn’t want to do it. So 50% got cut for one note. That whole experience was bittersweet for me.
I remember watching Barbara Walters interview Beyoncé about “Bootylicious,” and she told Barbara about how she came up with the idea for the track. And I was just like, “What?” I called Mathew-which was a big mistake; I got emotional, and I apologized after-but I called Mathew and said, “Mathew, like, why?”
And he explained to me, in a nice way, he said, “People don’t want to hear about Rob Fusari, producer from Livingston, N.J. No offense, but that’s not what sells records. What sells records is people believing that the artist is everything.” And I’m like, “Yeah, I know, Mathew. I understand the game. But come on, I’m trying too. I’m a squirrel trying to get a nut, too.”
LeToya and Matt Kemp were just caught having dinner in a Beverly Hills restaurant. Witnesses from the scene reveal that the pair looked very intimate with each other. “They were hugging and leaning in to talk to each other for over an hour! They definitely looked like a couple” the restaurant waitress says.
“But as I was bringing them dessert, LeToya’s behaviors started to look awkward. She kept shhhh-ing at him when suddenly Matt screamed at her “YOU WON’T KILL MY BABY. THIS CHILD IS MINE”. She broke down in tears and they ran out of the restaurant, without even paying the bill” the waitress adds.
It is unknown yet what will be their ultimate decision, and if Rihanna will accept to be a young step-mother is another problem.
